An Iaitō is a blunt Japanese Katana, specifically crafted for practicing the art of sword drawing (Iaidō). Unlike a Shinai or Bokken, which are used for combat training, the Iaitō is only intended for Iaidō practice. Therefore, its blade can be made from real carbon steel, aluminum, or wood (blunt).
