I wanted to make a custom Katana. I compared several custom Katana sites, but no other site came close to the selection of custom components that Katanzo offers. It was very exciting to build my custom Katana on the Katanzo website!
I started by choosing a very sharp T10 folded steel blade with a real Hamon. I opted for no Blood groove on the blade to highlight the folded steel blade and custom Japanese engraving. Great attention is paid with every detail of this sword. The Tsuba I chose depicts the waves of a tsunami and looks very nice. The Tsuka looks excellent and very detailed, even down to the Menuki. The Tsuka-ito feels very nice in the hand and is very tightly wrapped, no movement whatsoever. Finally, I would like to call attention to the Saya. It is nicely lacquered with a beautiful inlay. The cordage is very nice and tight, and I appreciate how they trimmed the hole with a metal grommet which is also ornate. A small detail, but it’s the small things that all add up.
When it arrived, the sword was more than I ever imagined. It is solidly constructed, with a powerful, well-balanced feel. It is by far the best sword in my collection, and I can’t wait to start building my next Katanzo Katana! Look at the picture of my Katana and you will understand my excitement.

The custom katana I ordered arrived in great condition. Exactly as I imagined and much better looking in person.
The whole sword looks fantastic but I was particularly impressed with the wrapping of the handle. Very well finished.

I ordered the custom 1095 folded clay tempered blade. Overall I love it and it is beautiful. The only issue is I wish the edge was sharper.
