Kobuse Katana
The Japanese Samurai Sword “Hayai Tora” symbolizes the “Swift Tiger” in Japan. This high-quality katana features a unique blade with a Kobuse structure, combining T10 steel with a 1095 carbon steel core. It has been meticulously handcrafted and adorned with a distinctive hamon pattern. The saya is crafted from genuine hardwood and embellished with buffalo horn.
Thanks to the clay tempering process, the blade maintains its sharpness even under intense use. In the final step, it is traditionally sharpened to a razor-sharp edge using Japanese waterstones. The katana’s handle is covered in authentic ray skin and tightly wrapped with finely woven Japanese silk. The fittings are adorned with genuine gold and silver.
With the “Hayai Tora” katana, you effortlessly cut through bamboo mats during tameshigiri (katana cutting practice) like a hot knife through butter. The exceptional Kobuse blade, the elegant and authentic design, the embellishments with real gold and silver, and the hardwood saya adorned with buffalo horn make this katana an impressive masterpiece in the top tier of Japanese swords.
“The way of the samurai lies in the art of peaceful action.”
