Dragon Katana
The Japanese Samurai sword “Kuraudo Doragon” represents the “Cloud Dragon” in Japan. Inspired by the legend of Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, the blade was forged high above the clouds on a sacred mountain, where the Kami and a mighty dragon (Doragon) blessed it and infused it with the natural forces of Japan. The blade of this Japanese katana is hand-forged from clay-hardened 1095 carbon steel (featuring a real hamon), crafted using traditional techniques, and paired with a saya adorned with remarkable and intricate Japanese artwork. Due to the differential hardening process, the blade remains sustainably sharp even under demanding use. In the final stages, the blade is polished to a mirror finish and then meticulously sharpened to a razor edge using traditional Japanese water stones.
With this dragon katana, “Kuraudo Doragon,” you can glide through bamboo mats during Tameshigiri (katana cutting practice) as effortlessly as slicing through butter. The exceptional blade, elegant and authentic design, hand-chiseled brass fittings with real gold elements, and hand-painted saya featuring a Japanese cloud dragon make this katana a true highlight among high-end Japanese swords.
In the mist of the clouds, where dragons watch and the Kami whisper, the true strength of a sword is born.
